A Brand Journey in the Footsteps of History
SALT. BİRGİ
Initiated by the Ödemiş Chamber of Commerce, this special project set out to bring Birgi’s centuries-old history, cultural fabric and enduring values together under one roof. Our task at SALT Kreatif was not simply to design a logo, but to translate the spirit of this ancient village, included on the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List, into a “brand language” the modern world can understand.
The Spirit of Birgi: Stone, Timber and Time
The design process began with discovering the details hidden in the village’s narrow streets. From the carved details of the Çakırağa Mansion to the silhouettes of its historic mosques and the nobility of the Aydınids, every element became a building block of the visual identity we created. In this project, we turned that moment where time stands still into a fluid, living corporate identity.
Reading Cultural Codes Through Design
Throughout the branding process, we emphasised that Birgi is not just a place but an “experience”. In the visual language we designed, Birgi’s own colour palette, traditional textures and hospitality meet modern typography. Our aim was to give a local treasure the power to be represented to global standards.
A Signature for the Future
Today, the Birgi branding serves as the face of the destination across a wide range of uses, from regional promotion to tourism strategy. The identity that emerged from our work with the Ödemiş Chamber of Commerce has become a statement of vision that unites the wisdom of the past with the aesthetics of today and the potential of the future.
“For us, Birgi was not a project but a design note written into history. We uncovered the pure, essential story at the heart of the village and sealed it with the visual language of the modern world.”
